Hon. Adriano Espaillat (NY) – New York State Assemblyman and first Dominican ever elected to statewide office in U.S. history. First Latino in over 20 years to chair the New York State Legislative Black, Puerto Rican, and Hispanic Caucus. 2000-2001 President of the DANR.

Consuelo Evans (NJ) – Leader in the Hudson County, NJ Dominican community and Executive Manager of USB Merchant Services and advisor to the Jersey City Dominican Day Parade Committee
